和之前看的科幻片讨论的问题都不太一样，这一部更加聚焦在了机器人的记忆、亲情和爱欲上，更加细腻。人类总是假设其它物种也想要成为人类，但机器人却反问成为人类又有什么妙处呢？人机身份的焦虑在这部电影中转变为了国族认同的怀疑。茶道、嫁接术、蝴蝶与老子，种种这些有关中国冷知识，Yang 即使知道得再多，也没有办法回答它自己是不是中国「人」的困惑，即使它是那样被编程的。而讽刺的是，这种被植入的认同就算在机器人那里也不稳固，更何况我们呢。> What the caterpillar calls the end, the rest of the world calls a butterfly.
